Snails Pace

Hey. Long time no see... I been a little slow on the blog updates. There is a little bit to catch up on before I delve into this next date, or last date I should say. It was five days ago. Z finds himself extremely busy with non-dating activities these days. Just trying to squeeze new dates in has been pretty tough. Having a regular or two in the rotation isn't helping.

When we last left off, I was heading up to a music festival and there was a chance of meeting this girl from MySpace. Needless to say, I got extremely intoxicated that weekend my friends, and never called her. I did however bump into her at some point I cannot clearly remember but she seemed quite out of it too so it was cool I suppose. During one of the many music sets we exchanged a real wasted Hi-5, and a "Whaaaaaaassaaaa!!!!!" Since then we emailed a bit and it the exchange of emails has since died down.

I also was working with 3 JDate chicks when I last reported. I am in the process of converting an IM interchange to a date, which hopefully will happen this weekend. The other two chicks never made it beyond email but I have sent them "What-up" emails to try to revive the situation. Its beginning sound sort of like a medical or chemical reaction procedure or a sports play rather than dating. If things with this new chick do not work out I am going to try some new free dating services, TheOnion.com, and OkCupid.com, and see where that gets me. The girls from The Onion will probably atleast be funny, or share a similar sense of humor.

So on to this past weekends festivities. I do not know what to call this date. I guess it a first date but we had already hooked up on a drunken night out. I went home to Long Island for weekend so I thought I would meet up with this girl again. The first night turned out not so much as a date but more like going out and getting drunk with friends which was cool by me. I got pretty toasty, and ended up making out with this chick again but it wasn't like the last time when we were drunkenly shoving tongue down each others throats all night long.

The next day we went on a bike ride together from our town to Jones Beach. This turned out to be a 35 mile adventure. When we got there we played mini-golf. The loser had to buy lunch. I lost by a razor thin margin of 5 strokes. I bought us lunch in the Jones Beach concession stand and it was so gross neither of us ate it. Following that we had a nice long walk by the ocean and then lied down together in the sand. To be honest it was kind of weird. It was just real slow and relaxed, and awkward at times. It was a beautiful day and by no means hard to enjoy but something was different. Later that night we ate some food at her friends family BBQ, and went home to cleanup. Later on, we went to go see Beerfest, surprisingly after stopped a bar to have a beer. We kissed again at the end of the night.

I'm not going to lie to you. This sounds like a pretty bland account of date. It was good and nothing really crazy or funny happened. What this date needed was more alcohol, and more hoooking up. Like the date this thing seems like it going to move at a snails pace, as I live the city life, and she lives on LI, working 6 days a week including nights and weekends. Thats a good thing as I am not trying to rush into anything after my last fiasco with Date #4 (who is still around). I am also a little conflicted as to where it should be going that I know her brother from high school and junior high. Her parents know me, and I am good friends with her cousin. So its all a little strange. We will see how it plays out...

I am sorry this blog took so long to come out and is so boring and anti-climactic. I feel like Ben Stein wrote this, not Z. I have a date lining up for this weekend and hopefully I can report something of interest or something funny...
